The Omega Speedmaster is a legendary timepiece. In 1965, NASA purchased a batch of chronograph watches and conducted a series of rigorous tests on them. In the end, only the Omega Speedmaster became the only watch to be officially recognized and qualified to participate in manned space missions.
This watch was worn by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin during the historic moon landing in July 1969.
A full 50 years have passed since that moment. In order to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first human landing on the moon, Omega produced the Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th anniversary watch, which witnessed the story of Omega and space adventure that year.
Since then, the Speedmaster watch has participated in six human moon landing missions, earning it the legendary reputation of “Moon Watch”.
